Just a reminder that we are only a week away from our Tuesday August 18th meeting on the water.
Find a partner and fish any lake you want with a public boat landing from 5 to 9 pm next Tuesday. If you’d like to fish but don’t have a boat, please let us know and we can likely find someone with a boat who otherwise would be fishing solo. After 9 we’ll gather at the Howling Dog Saloon in Manitowish Waters for appetizers and pizza on the club’s nickel and camaraderie.
Please let me know in advance if you will be participating and if you want to be in the nightly big fish pot ($10 per person each night with a minimum qualifying size of 30-inches). And this year we are also doing a yearly meeting on the water total cumulative inches pot at an additional $10 per night. Whoever catches the most total inches of qualifying muskies over 30 inches during the 4 meetings on the water this season will win the total pot for the year. So far, 38 1/2-inches is leading with 33 3/4-inches in second place. But that can easily be beaten with just one fish! But I suspect it will take at least two qualifying fish to win the pot for the season after the September outing. So, please also let me know if you want to be in the cumulative inches fish pot prior to the event Tuesday.
