The April Lure Swap was another big hit. There were approximately 100 attendees and 29 vendor tables.

Now that we are officially in musky season, please register your catch in the Lunge Log on the Muskies Inc site. This information is used by the DNR for research and stocking guidance. Our chapter also has a monthly Lunker of Month. The monthly winner gets a 50.00 gift certificate to Last Cast Outfitters. Winners are determined by information registered in the Muskies Inc. Lunge Log.
Our first kids outing is June 16th. Bait and some equipment is provided. Helpers are needed. Please contact Jeff Kinnally if you are able to lend a hand. We have one session in June, July and August at the Pier in Minocqua from 5pm to 7pm. You can reach Jeff at jwkinnally@gmail.com.
We are excited to sponsor a new kids activity this year. Teach a kid to musky fish on June 28th. Youth aged 12 and over along with an adult guardian will be mentored by one of our members. Fishing will be from 8am until noon. Gathering at Gooch’s afterward for food, prizes and fellowship. We are seeking more volunteers to be guides to take a youth and parent out. Please consider volunteering. It is very rewarding to see a young angler catch their first muskie and get turned on to the sport. June 14th is our first meeting on the water. This is a Sunday event. We will be fishing from 5 to 9pm and meeting at Hazelhurst Pub after for fellowship and award the winner of the big fish pot.
