DESCRIPTION:On October 12th\, Northwoods Muskies Inc. and Headwaters Chapter will again battle for bragging rights and the coveted Pink Musky traveling trophy in the 6th annual Northwaters Chapter Challunge.  \nA team will consist of up to 6 people. There is no cost to participate. Fishing times are 7:00 am until 5:00 pm. You can fish any waters you like. \nWe will convene at 6:00 pm at Sayner Pub for pizza and festivities. DESCRIPTION:Rules of the Hamm\n\nAt least 1 member of each boat must attend the Orientation Meeting\n\nAll registered muskies must be caught and released within the designated fishing times\n\nMI release points apply\, 30″ minimum\, 4 points for 30″ with 1 point added to each additional inch\, example.. 40″ equals 14 points*Catch\, Photo and Release required\n\nReleases are to be turned in by contacting the host Chapter main contact (TBA) or turned in after fishing times at host resort within allotted time. FISH REGISTRATION FORMS AND PHOTOS MUST BE TURNED IN THE DAY THE FISH WAS CAUGHT\n\nTeam that scores the most accumulative points wins the Hamm and the Chapter that they represent will host the following year’s Gil Hamm\n\n\nBig Fish Award Rules\n\nPerson must be registered in the Big Fish Award\n\nFish must be caught during Hamm designated fishing times\n\nTwo digital photos must be presented at time of turning in release\nPhoto of muskie with person who caught it\n\nPhoto must display with fish in horizontal hold\n\nPhoto of muskie on a bump board to verify length\n\nLargest muskie by length wins the Big Fish Award\n\nIn case of a tie\, first muskie that was registered wins\n\nPlease bring your USB cable for pictures to be downloaded to laptop for verification and for the slideshow

We will be making the announcement of the 2018 member’s awards. We will have an update on news and coming events from the chapter and request your input on the direction of our chapter. Finally we welcome John Kubisiak\, Oneida County biologist and Nat Res Region Team Supervisor. John will give a presentation and be available for questions concerning the status and future of our area fishery. DESCRIPTION:You are openly invited to participate in the 2015 Chapter Challunge\, hosted by Northwoods Muskies Inc. To be held on Saturday September 26th on the Presque Isle area of lakes\, the challunge is open to Headwaters Chapter #12 and Northwoods Chapter #61 members only. The winning chapter will be determined by most total points earned for their respective chapter. \nEvent Headquarters: \nPI Yacht Club\, Main St. Presque Isle\, WI. PH# 715-686-2423 \nStop by Yacht Club prior to fishing and any time after 7:30am on day of outing to register\, pay entry fee and receive event marker for fish photos. Those pre-registered may phone into the PI Yacht Club after 7:30am to announce which lake they will be fishing and receive the event marker verbally. \nFishing Hours: \n8am to 6pm \nLakes: \n\nPresque Isle Chain\nCrab\nOxbow\nPapoose\nHarris\nBig and Little Horsehead\nBirch\n\nRules and Guidelines \n\n14 points for a muskie at least 30” in length and one point for each ¼” over 30”.\nA photo of the fish with a verifiable measuring instrument and the marker (given to you at registration) must be included to qualify for points and awards. Unclear photos will not work in your favor. Photos must be turned in by 6:45pm.\nEntry Fee: $10.00 for current members or $40 for new members (includes 1 year Muskies Inc membership)\nAll Wisconsin 2015 fishing regulations apply. DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, August 08\, 2015\, join members of Northwoods Muskies Inc. for an on-the-water meeting and social at Big Arbor Vitae Lake\, held at SLO’s PUB. This membership event will consist of the following itinerary: \n\n11am to 12pm registration\n12pm to 4pm musky fishing\nSocial Hour from 4pm till ???\nPrizes and Raffles\nSteak Sandwich Specials after fishing\nMuch much more!\n\nPreviously hosting us before in August 2013\, we’d like to send a special thank you to SLO’s Pub for hosting us once again! \nLake Profile\nBig Arbor Vitae Lake is a 1070 acre lake located in Vilas County. It has a maximum depth of 41 feet. Visitors have access to the lake from public boat landings located on the lake’s north end at public park on Buckhorn Rd. and (2) on south east Mielke Bay. Fish species present include Musky\, Panfish\, Largemouth Bass and Walleye. The lake’s water clarity is low\, and is classified as a eutrophic lake. It’s muskellunge fishery is A2 waters.
