Battle On St. Germain Lakes – Saturday January 17, 2026

Northwoods Muskies Inc. presents “Battle on St. Germain Lakes” Family Fishing Tournament.

January 17th is the 2nd annual Ice Fishing Tournament.  This was a very successful event last year and we want to make this year bigger and better.  Jim Lund is the chairman of this event .  Jim has done a ton of leg work getting sponsors and donations to help cover costs.  Last year we gave out 47 buckets to kids 16 and younger participating in the tournament.  We increased the number to 80.  Buckets include an assortment of ice fishing supplies such as tip-ups, rod, ice scoopers etc.  Jim has been able to get commitments in cash or prize donations valued at $15,000.00.  We have had some people commit to helping, however, we need more.  The day of the tournament we need people to help set up/tear down, registration, kitchen, games, and raffles.  I am probably forgetting something, but you get the idea.  If you are not able to help on the 17th, consider helping by putting together buckets.  Please contact Jim Lund at Jlund2273@gmail.com, or Pete Stoltman @ pjsdrum@gmail.com.  The more hands helping makes the work lighter.

Awards at St Germain Community Center at 7 PM- doors open at 5 PM

Sandwiches, chips ,soda and beer served by local group.

What you need to do:

• Search the Fish Donkey app on Your Phone(Google play for Android or App Store for Iphone)
• Download app
• Search Battle on Saint Germain Lakes
• Register on Fish Donkey app ($5 fee per person plus $5 per ticket)

Purchase extra tickets from Last Cast Fishing Outfitters for $5 apiece (Max 7 / person)

• All tickets must be picked up at Last Cast Fishing Outfitters
• First 80 Kids under 16 get buckets w tip up, jig rod, bait puck, scoop and fishing line.
• Each person can enter up to 7 times, 1 time per species.
• Last Cast Fishing Outfitters will be open 8- 9 PM on Thursday Jan 16 and 6 AM- January 17th

People will be available to assist with registration at Last Cast Fishing Outfitters on Friday and Saturday.

Catch a fish of the qualifying length(see below) and register it using the Fish Donkey app with your ticket in plain view showing the ticket number. (Only one fish registered per ticket) Bring qualifying tickets to the awards ceremony. Those tickets will be used to draw from the prize pot.
