2017 Kleeba Challunge Tournament Registration

The Kleeba Challunge is a traveling tournament held annually among the Wisconsin chapters of Muskies, Inc. There are currently nine chapters. It is a total catch and release event that provides great camaraderie and fun, and is open to all Muskies Inc. club participation. The tournament was named after a member of Eagle River, WI Headwaters Chapter, Larry Kleeba, who held the position of “Director at Large”. The Kleeba Challunge is named in memorial to Larry who passed away from a auto accident.

June 17 and June 18, 2017

Friday, June 16th – 5pm to 8pm. Registration Happy Hour at The Musky Shop. Complimentary beverages provided by Northwoods Muskies Inc.

Saturday, June 17th – Fishing Hours begin at 6am. Fish as often or for as little as you desire on the designated lake groups until 11:00 am Sunday, with the exception of the 2 hours for the group meal at Fibbers in St. Germain. 4pm to 6pm, a group meal will be hosted by Fibbers at St. Germain. Fishing is paused during this segment. Complimentary food and beverages provided by Northwoods Muskies Inc. at Fibbers Resort, St. Germain. Fishing hours resume again at 6pm.

Sunday, June 18th – Fishing hours end at 11:00 am. An 11:30 am awards ceremony will be held at The Musky Shop.

Event Rules

The tournament is a trophy only tournament. The Northwoods Chapter sponsors all club members fishing for the honor of having the chapter’s name added to the trophy for winning the tournament in any given year.

  • This is a two-day tournament open to men, women and youth. Youth participants under the age of (18) must have their Release of Liability signed by parent/legal guardian.
  • A full chapter team consists of 6 participating anglers.
  • Entry Fees: FREE. Donations to the Northwoods Muskies stocking fund are optional.

Lake Groups

Registered teams may fish any of the lake groups listed below. Assignments will be given according to first preference.

  • Group 1:  Minocqua Chain: Minocqua Lake, Kawaguesaga Lake, Mid Lake, Tomahawk & Little Tomahawk Lake
  • Group 2:  Big Arbor Vitae Lake, Little Arbor Vitae Lake
  • Group 3:  Clear Lake, Madeline Lake, Carroll Lake, Sweeney Lake, Gilmore Lake
  • Group 4:  Shishebogama Lake, Gunlock Lake, Squirrel Lake
  • Group 5:  Brandy Lake, Arrowhead Lake, Johnson Lake
  • Group 6:  Big Saint Germain Lake, Little Saint Germain Lake
